Newcastle , Xweb.biz.id – Newcastle United dominated Manchester United with a commanding 4-1 win at St James’ Park on Sunday, April 13, 2025, exposing more cracks in the Red Devils’ fragile season.

Sandro Tonali opened the scoring in the 24th minute before Harvey Barnes’ brace (49′ and 64′) dismantled United’s defensive structure. Bruno Guimaraes completed the rout in the 77th minute. Alejandro Garnacho briefly leveled the score at 1-1 with his 37th-minute goal, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.

The victory propelled Newcastle United into fourth place with 56 points from 31 games, positioning them strongly in the race for a Champions League spot. Conversely, Manchester United dropped to a disappointing 14th position, with just 38 points from 32 matches.

Speaking after the match, United’s manager Ruben Amorim admitted, “Our position in the standings reflects our season. Mistakes during the game gave Newcastle the advantage and the confidence they needed.”

With the season nearing its climax, Manchester United faces mounting pressure to regroup and end their campaign on a positive note.
