Jakarta, Xweb.biz.id – The South Jakarta Metro Police have named nine suspects in connection with the violent clash that occurred in the Kemang Raya area, Bangka Village, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (30/4/2025). The incident, which went viral on social media, was reportedly sparked by a land dispute.

According to South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Ade Rahmat Idnal, 25 individuals have been detained in relation to the incident. Police also confiscated several weapons during the operation.

“Twenty-five people were arrested, along with evidence including four air rifles and three machetes,” Ade said on Thursday (1/5).

Out of those detained, nine individuals have officially been named as suspects.

The violent altercation broke out when a group of approximately 20 individuals arrived at a disputed land plot in Kemang Raya around 9:00 AM local time. They were confronted by another group claiming to be heirs of the land.

“There was an attempt to enter the land area by one party, but they were blocked by a group of heirs. This led to a brief clash involving stone throwing and caused traffic congestion,” said Polda Metro Jaya spokesperson Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi.

Police officers from Mampang and South Jakarta quickly responded to the incident and managed to bring the situation under control. However, some individuals involved in the clash are still at large and being pursued.

“The situation is now under control. Several suspects have been secured for further investigation, and others are still being hunted,” Ade Ary confirmed.
