Bali, Xweb.biz.id – A widespread power outage affected all areas of Bali on Friday, leaving the Island of the Gods in darkness. The State Electricity Company (PLN) is currently investigating the cause of the disruption, but the exact reason remains unknown.
According to I Wayan Eka Susana, the Communications and TJSL Manager for PLN UID Bali, the company is actively working on restoring electricity to the affected regions. “The cause is still being investigated,” Eka Susana said in a statement from Denpasar on Friday.
The outage, which began at approximately 16:09 WITA, resulted in a complete blackout across Bali. PLN acknowledged the disruption, assuring the public that recovery efforts were underway. “Currently, there is a disruption to the Bali system, and recovery is ongoing,” Eka Susana added.
PLN has apologized to customers for the inconvenience caused by the sudden blackout. “We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the power outage in most areas of Bali, and we are currently in the process of normalizing the situation with a restored load of 232 MW,” said Eka Susana.
While the exact cause of the power failure has not yet been identified, reports of the outage came from various regions across the island. PLN has promised to continue working to resolve the issue and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
This power failure comes amidst growing concerns about the reliability of electricity supply across the region. PLN’s quick response and efforts to normalize the situation reflect their commitment to restoring services and mitigating the impact on residents and businesses in Bali.
As of now, recovery operations are ongoing, with the company working diligently to restore power in all affected areas.
