Prabowo Subianto Concludes Qatar Visit, Heads to Jordan to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Jakarta, Xweb.biz.id – President Prabowo Subianto continued his diplomatic mission to Amman, Jordan, on Sunday (April 13, 2025), after completing a series of state visits in Doha, Qatar. Jordan marks the final stop in his five-country Middle East tour, which commenced on April 9, 2025.

Departing from Hamad International Airport in Doha at 3:00 PM local time, President Prabowo leaves Qatar with significant diplomatic achievements. During his stay, he held a bilateral meeting with Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, resulting in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a strategic dialogue between Indonesia and Qatar.

In addition to strengthening political ties, Qatar pledged to invest US$2 billion through Danantara, further enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations.

“I believe the meeting was very good and productive. We agreed to immediately strengthen our cooperation. His Highness was very enthusiastic,” President Prabowo stated at Doha Airport before departing for Amman.

Upon his arrival in Jordan, Prabowo is scheduled to meet King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, defense, and socio-cultural partnerships.

This diplomatic visit highlights President Prabowo’s commitment to an active foreign policy aimed at strengthening Indonesia’s strategic collaborations across the Middle East and opening new investment pathways beneficial to all parties.
