Jakarta, Xweb.biz.id – President Prabowo Subianto has made a bold prediction about the future wealth of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara), stating that its wealth could soon reach USD 1 trillion. During his remarks at the Danantara Town Hall Meeting at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Monday, April 28, 2025, Prabowo highlighted the nation’s vast wealth and the potential of Danantara to play a pivotal role in managing these assets.

“We manage it well, we calculate our assets, and it turns out we are rich. Maybe soon, Danantara’s wealth will reach USD 1 trillion,” President Prabowo Subianto stated confidently.

Emphasis on Efficient Management

Prabowo stressed the importance of managing Danantara effectively, with an emphasis on transparency and accountability. He stated that if managed well, Danantara could generate substantial funds that would benefit the nation.

“The wealth that Danantara could generate is immense, and that’s my approach,” Prabowo added. His call for better management came with a strong warning to the directors of both Danantara and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMNs), urging them to eliminate inefficiencies and prioritize the country’s welfare.

Accountability in Leadership

The President also made it clear that underperforming or corrupt directors should be replaced immediately. He expressed frustration with individuals who misuse their power or fail to achieve their goals.

“And their character, their morals, and their achievements — if they do not perform, if they are lazy, or if they engage in improper practices and abuse authority, I ask that they be replaced,” Prabowo emphasized.

Strengthening Synergy Between Danantara and BUMNs

The Town Hall Meeting, which brought together top leaders from Danantara and BUMNs, aimed to strengthen the collaboration between these entities and foster a more robust national investment ecosystem. Prabowo’s remarks set the tone for the event, which was attended by key figures such as Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, COO Dony Oskaria, and other influential members of the government and business sectors.

Yusuf Permana, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, stated that the event was part of efforts to strengthen the synergy between Danantara and BUMNs to boost Indonesia’s investment climate.

Foreign Investment Interest in Danantara

Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, CEO of Danantara, noted that there has been growing interest from foreign investors in collaborating with the agency. He highlighted that Danantara’s timely establishment has provided renewed confidence for investors to enter the Indonesian market.

“Now, many people are coming to meet us, with me, and they see that Danantara’s presence is very, very timely,” said Rosan. He further mentioned that several foreign investors are eager to include Danantara in their investment consortia, which signals a positive outlook for the country’s investment future.

Future Prospects and Qatar’s Investment

Rosan also mentioned that Qatar plans to invest USD 2 billion (approximately Rp 33 trillion) into Danantara, with several sectors identified as priorities for this investment. This collaboration underscores the growing international trust in Danantara and its potential to drive significant economic growth for Indonesia.

President Prabowo Subianto’s remarks reflect the Indonesian government’s ambitions to leverage Danantara as a key player in managing the nation’s assets. With a focus on transparent and efficient management, the agency has the potential to become a cornerstone of Indonesia’s economic future, attracting both domestic and international investment to ensure long-term prosperity.
